About Me
Hi, I’m Anne Baker.
I’m a holistic health and nutrition coach and yoga therapist.
As a yoga therapist, I’m able to apply the techniques of yoga with knowledge about a specific health concern to help alleviate that concern whether by reducing symptoms, restoring balance, increasing vitality, or improving attitude in a progressive, non-invasive and complementary manner.
Yoga therapy can be not only preventive or curative, but also serve as a means to manage the illness or facilitate healing in the person at all levels. Among the many challenges and situations that yoga therapists face are working with people who are managing conditions like cancer (as well as the side effects of cancer treatment), arthritis, heart disease, depression, PTSD, diabetes, osteoporosis, recovery from injury or surgery, and chronic pain.
I am passionate about healthy living. I enjoy wellness research, analyzing nutritional news, testing recipes, sharing tips, and attending additional courses. That means that you get access to a curated wellspring of information, fresh approaches and answers to keep your health journey interesting, up-to-date and enlightening!
My Approach
My approach is holistic, recognizing that achieving optimal health is not just about the food on your plate, but how you nourish yourself through your relationships, spirituality, career, environment, and much more. Changing long-held negative behaviors, beliefs and attitudes can be challenging. And making big changes often requires being held accountable (in a really compassionate, caring way, of course). I am here to guide you through your journey giving you the knowledge, skills, tools and confidence you need to participate fully in your own care and well-being.
I’ve discovered that a simple diet, an active lifestyle, loving relationships, and spirituality are critical traits of cultures around the world who live the longest, healthiest lives.
Our bodies want to be strong, energized, and in balance. Yet, starting a wellness journey can be daunting, especially if it entails making major lifestyle shifts, such as changing the way you eat, adopting a sleep hygiene routine, or starting to exercise when you’ve been firmly planted on a couch. I’ll support, guide, and teach you how you can move confidently from hunger to satisfaction, restoring harmony of body, mind, and spirit.

“I am new to yoga and don’t know the poses very well. Anne always does a great job with her verbal cueing which easily helps me get into and out of the poses. Her focus on breathing allows for relaxation and renewal of the mind and body. Anne has a true passion for her students, wanting to educate and inspire others.”

“Along our journey on Earth, we constantly get divine assistance from a variety of sources, most notably of all our fellow humans. More often than not that said assistance finds fulfillment from different people. However, sometimes by divine grace lightning strikes and you get to meet the one person who would be more than a village for you, a true representation of your goddess mother. And I found mine in my beloved Anne!
Anne is a friend you wish upon everyone, a human being who makes life so much easier for anyone she touches and I am ever so happy her gifts can reach so many more people with her work. Anne has always surrounded herself with people of every walk of life and I am sure the world is a far sweeter place by the grace of her presence!”
